Wall Meat Processing Plant Grand Re-Opening
– By #Kelsey Clark
The Wall Meat Processing Plant’s new owners, Janet Niehaus and Ken Charfauros, have been operating the plant since April 4 and are now ready to celebrate the grand re-opening with the community on Friday, June 2.
Janet and Ken are going beyond a simple ribbon cutting for the grand re-opening. They want to celebrate the community as well as the re-opening of the business. The grand re-opening will start with a ribbon cutting at 11 am, Friday, June 2, at the Wall Meat Processing Plant, 21 North Creighton Road.
Immediately following the ribbon cutting, Janet and Ken will be holding a “branding wall” ceremony. All local producers are invited to bring their branding irons to the event. During the ceremony, all will be invited to add their brand to the branding wall, which will be dis-played inside of the Wall Meat Processing Plant.
Following these events, the Wall Meat Processing Plant will be holding a lunch at the Wall City Park, a short walk from the plant. The lunch will be provided free for all. The meal will include a whole hog roast, brisket and assorted salads.
